The service from staff is outstanding as are views from upper floor rooms (make sure you have an "odd" numbered room). Food is good at the restaurant and lounges are easily found. Property lacks any hot tub or jacuzzi (older property that's well-maintained and very clean). Very quiet as north part of the city - have to take bus, taxi or Uber for better beach to swim and for more variety of food. (Small convenience store 2 blocks away) Improvements to add jacuzzi or hot tub would be a plus

Pesty sales department that claim they are not in sales. Lost 8 hours of my life to these people. Just want to go and enjoy my vacation. The rest of the staff was amazing. The construction that has been in limbo for several years is an eye sore.

We stayed the week of November 4 th. CHECKED out 3 days early due to a death in the family. Small BEAUTIFUL resort AND amazing staff amazing location to the beach and clean rooms makes it a great stay. The desk staff the pool staff the beach staff were amazing. We didn't ask for any room cleaning but we left a generous tip to make up for not letting them in We just like to not worry about it Plus we're clean and we don't need any housekeeping. Typical to Vidanta the doors are opened for you, smiles are all over the place from the beautiful people that work there. We love Felix in the restaurant We loved the pool man the lifeguard and the pool bar man. Sugay at the desk was brilliant and sweet. I think his name was Elliot at the business desk was very very nice there was someone at the concierge She couldn't figure out how to get us on any of the trips because there was just not enough wise Sound of the ocean from the ocean facing condo is priceless I do believe the views from the other side of the building will be wonderful at night with the city lights. The waves at the beach are amazing the water birds are amazing The seashells are amazing they come and go but there's plenty to be found if you look hard. The swimming pool was clean and they were doing work on replacing tiles. They were doing a lot of work on the building that is not finished yet It is almost all windowed up. They plan on building two more towers where they tore down two towers. They plan on there being a grand Mayan at the location and also putting in a lazy river for that. I enjoyed the walkability of this resort because it is so small We were able to also walk down for breakfast go to the convenience store and there were many other restaurants and even a sports bar where my husband could watch American football. Nuevo Vallarta is amazing and mind-blowing but hard for my old body to walk all over. I'm also looking forward to trying the Mayan Palace in Puerto Vallarta in March. So far we are very happy with our recent purchase of membership with Vedanta at first we thought maybe we spent too much but everything is working very smoothly No bad altercations no bad instances.

The service, drinks and food were wonderful. The hotel suite was huge, comfortable and very clean. The location was perfect for us, far enough away from the noisy'golden mile', but still a close taxi ride to downtown. Alberto and Jesus were superb, and put the happy in happy hour. We will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I just spent the last two weeks at Mayan Palace. We’ve been to three other Vidanta resorts in Mexico and all have been spectacular. This resort proved to be one of the best with their dedicated and polite staff. We were greeted daily with ‘hellos’ and smiles. Kevin and Brenda at the front desk answered all of our questions during our stay. And Laura our maid was spot on when it came to cleaning our suite. We had an ocean front view and that alone brought tears of happiness to my eyes. Some other reviewers mentioned loud noise… there were a few lively gatherings nearby but one has to expect that in a city which focuses on tourism, culture and entertainment. So no complaints from us. As for the restaurant, we would love to give huge bouquets to all of the staff. I’m sorry to say I only remember Victor but all of the others made our night extra special and romantic. The food was so delicious, every thing from the steak, salmon, entrees, pizzas and the variety of desserts. All nicely presented. Even the girl in charge of activities got us involved in a game at the pool and my husband won a prize. The rooms were spacious and I loved the high ceilings and the large windows/balcony. Some extra points: ample kitchen utensils, the beds were super comfy and everything worked and was in excellent condition. The area is great - a regular bus route and a beach where you can walk about an hour in one direction. A very Merry Christmas to everyone at Mayan Palace.

The original Mayan Palace is over 50 years old. Several of the older buildings have been demolished with no signs of what is planned in their place. Having visited Cancun and Puerto Vallarta Vidanta resorts this was shockingly small.

We stayed in Cerritos at an apartment but decided to try out the day pass. Definitely made for an amzn.to day! We we t ahead of time to check it out butbtehres no need. You just show up, pay (credit towards food) they give you towels and a wrist band and off you go to enjoy great music, activities and fun in the sun. It was a nice hot day so the pool was refreshing. Very clean and the vibe was welcoming and positive! We enjoyed lunch by the pool, volleyball, ping pong, swimming and BINGO! Happy hour was nice and we enjoyed some ocean time with drinks from that bar too.
